UCI Campus, Irvine CA, October 21, 22- The Men's Lacrosse Club at UCI hosted the annual Laxtoberfest Tournament this weekend. This tournament draws collegiate, youth and masters teams from Southern California for some pre-season competition and fun. The weather was picture perfect...of course, this is Southern California...and the play was spirited and enthusiastic. The collegiate games were held on Saturday and the masters on Sunday. More...

Riptide puts out Dragon fire 17 to 10

The SF Dragons were no match for the LA Riptide Saturday afternoon at the Home Depot Center Track and Field Complex. With temperatures soaring above 100 degrees, the heat was overwhelming for the fans and seemingly for the Dragons too, who never seemed to get into the game. The Riptide established their lead early and never let up for a resounding 17 to 10 victory. This brought the Major League Lacrosse LA Riptide to a respectable 3-5 season (and a win the next day at SF, the Riptide now has a 4-5 season).

On a balmy, Saturday summer night, the Los Angeles Riptide (0-3) just couldn't overcome an early six point lead established by the Boston Cannons at The Home Depot Center Track and Field Complex.
